Airsoko ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect information when you use the Airsoko Fulfillment Services (AFS) platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business details and role. Sellers may additionally provide tax identification, business registration and bank details.

Order & Logistics Data

We collect delivery addresses, order details, tracking information and communication logs related to fulfillment activities.

Device & Usage Data

We may collect IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers and usage analytics to improve the platform.

Location Data

Drivers and agents who enable location sharing provide GPS coordinates to enable delivery tracking and geofencing features.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the fulfillment platform and process orders
  • To communicate with you about orders, deliveries and account matters
  • To calculate fees, commissions and settlements
  • To prevent fraud and ensure platform security
  • To improve our services and develop new features
  • To comply with legal obligations under Kenyan law

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only in these circumstances:

  • With delivery partners: Drivers receive delivery addresses and customer contact details to complete deliveries.
  • With pickup station agents: Agents receive package information and customer names for collection verification.
  • With payment processors: We share necessary billing information with Airsoko Pay for wallet operations and settlements.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose data when required by Kenyan law, court orders or regulatory authorities.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after account closure for legal and audit purposes, in accordance with Kenyan business record requirements.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and regular security audits. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Object to certain processing activities
  • Receive your data in a portable format
